Roland FP-E50 — Portable Stage Piano with Arranger Power

The Roland FP-E50 is an 88-key portable digital piano created for those seeking one instrument to cover stage performance, home practice, and one-person-band setups. Pairing the SuperNATURAL Piano engine with the expandable ZEN-Core sound engine, it gives players access to over 1,000 onboard tones. This model stands out for gigging keyboardists, singer-songwriters, and serious hobbyists needing authentic piano feel plus arranger-style backing in a portable package.

Unique Features of the FP-E50

Unlike most stage pianos, this model features a built-in Chord Sequencer to program entire chord charts and play them back through any of the 177 accompaniment styles. Accompaniment intensity is adjusted in real time with Interactive Mode, and a 6.35 mm mic input plus Auto Harmony, Voice Transformer, and a 26-type Vocal Designer vocoder transforms the keyboard into a vocal hub.

PHA-4 Standard Action — Acoustic Feel Realized

Equipped with an 88-key PHA-4 Standard keyboard using three sensors per key, escapement, and Ivory Feel surfaces, the instrument replicates graded resistance and tactile feedback of an acoustic grand. Touch sensitivity offers 100 levels plus fixed, and Hammer Response provides 10 delay settings for fine adjustment.

• Keys: 88 full-size keys — covering the full concert range for repertoire and accompaniment
• Graded hammer feel with realistic let-off is achieved with the PHA-4 Standard action and Ivory Feel
• Touch Sensitivity: 100 levels + fixed — more personalization than standard 5-step systems

SuperNATURAL Piano + ZEN-Core — Over 1,000 Tones

Two sound engines run side by side: SuperNATURAL Piano handles acoustic pianos, while ZEN-Core — also found in the FANTOM and JUPITER-X — supplies 726 synth, organ, and drum-kit tones. Enjoy 256-note polyphony, layered patches, pedal use, and accompaniment without voice stealing.

• Sound Engines: SuperNATURAL Piano + ZEN-Core — combining acoustic realism and expandable synth power
• Polyphony: 256 notes — room for layered performances and complex arrangements
• Covering every genre from classical to EDM, there are 1,018 tones including 38 pianos, 34 E.Pianos, 36 strings, 184 organ/pad voices, 726 synth/other sounds, and 74 drum kits

Two headphone jacks, L/R line outputs, and a 3.5 mm stereo input support practice and live use.

• Bluetooth: Ver 4.2 (A2DP audio + MIDI over BLE) — for wireless streaming and app integration

Roland — Three Decades of Progressive Hammer Action

For over thirty years, Roland has developed progressive hammer actions. The PHA-4 Standard found in the FP-E50 evolved from the FP-10, FP-30X, and FP-60X. Released in February 2023, it is the first FP-series model combining the SuperNATURAL Piano engine with the ZEN-Core architecture previously found only in flagship workstations like the FANTOM and JUPITER-X.
